On Saturday, June 4, guests gathered to hear local civil rights activists Paul Graham and Ronnie Moreland talk about experiences of racism in Greene County. It was the 2nd Annual Anti-Racism Conference hosted by Sugarcreek Cares, Greene County Voices, Citizens for a Better Beavercreek, Inclusive Fairborn, and Yellow Springs Speaking Up for Justice.
Mr. Graham recalled his time in the 1960s fighting for equality for people of color in Yellow Springs. Mr. Moreland shared his role in the battle to bring public transportation to Beavercreek, as evidence in the documentary Free to Ride. View the film here. The entire event can be viewed here.
